Camelot ITLab Introduces Blockchain Accelerator Package for Mobile Device Management

Solution helps fight theft of mobile devices

Mannheim, 08/16/2018 – Camelot Innovative Technologies Lab (Camelot ITLab) today announced its Blockchain Accelerator for Mobile Device Management, powered by SAP Leonardo. The new solution helps end the re-use of stolen mobile devices. It is another successful milestone in Camelot’s track record of providing pioneering digital solutions based on SAP Leonardo technologies. Camelot takes part in the SAP Leonardo Partner Medallion Initiative to develop and deliver new innovations to serve businesses that use SAP solutions globally.

The new Camelot ITLab accelerator features a blockchain-based list of mobile phone serial numbers and their owners that is accessible to all operators, smart phone producers and end customers. It can be used to blacklist lost or stolen mobile devices. If an operator blacklists a serial number, the information is shared with all participants of the blockchain network – safely and in real-time. This can prevent the device from being used with the SIM card of another provider.

The Blockchain Accelerator for Mobile Device Management, powered by SAP Leonardo, provides a fixed-price solution (software and services bundle) before the integration of SAP software and design thinking methodology.
