Mannheim, 02/05/2019 – Today, Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions GmbH, known for its Vileda® brand, and Camelot Innovative Technologies Lab GmbH (Camelot ITLab) announced the successful implementation of new sales and operations planning processes based on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for Demand. Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions now benefits from agile supply chain planning processes, which equip the company perfectly for future growth and the increasing complexity of its supply chains.
The aim of the new sales and operations planning processes is to control and coordinate sales planning and demand planning as a first step. The introduction of SAP IBP is of strategic importance and will be established as a new integrated planning platform in more than 30 national companies.
“This project has taken us to a new level of supply chain planning. Camelot supported us right from the start with its sound industry and supply chain process expertise. Project contents and results
The first step was to replace the old sales planning system, SAP APO Demand Planning, with SAP IBP for Demand. Previously, a refined segmentation-based forecast process had been introduced with the aid of the Camelot Demand Analyzer. The implementation of SAP IBP made a number of direct improvements possible, such as the integration of prices and values, the creation of scenarios, improved statistical forecasts, and increased user acceptance. “The departments are delighted with the modern and flexible user interface, as well as the ease of use offered by the SAP IBP cloud solution,” says Christian Keller. “SAP IBP creates an open platform that the company can use to efficiently connect additional data sources or requirements with planning processes in the future.”
Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions expects the introduction and optimization of the new processes supported by SAP IBP to improve forecast deviations, increase customer service levels, reduce inventory levels, and increase process efficiency.
